The itinerary.

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Guwahati | Drive to Shillong via Umiam Lake

   • Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati before 11:30 AM.
   • Meet your Trip Captain at the airport and get introduced to your fellow travellers.
   • Board your vehicle and begin the scenic drive towards Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya.
   • En route, stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake Viewpoint, known for its calm blue waters and hill-covered surroundings.
   • Spend some time enjoying the views and clicking pictures by the lake.
   • Continue the drive towards Shillong and reach by evening.
   • Check in to your hotel and relax after the journey.
   • Later, you may step out to explore Police Bazaar, visit local cafés, shop around, or enjoy Shillong’s relaxed evening vibe at your own pace.
   • Overnight stay in Shillong.

2. Day 2

   Nongjrong Sunrise | Laitlum Canyons | Drive to Jowai

   • Start your day very early for a special sunrise experience.
   • Depart from Shillong around 2:00 AM for Nongjrong Viewpoint.
   • Witness a breathtaking sunrise over the hills, often accompanied by a dreamy layer of clouds.
   • Spend time soaking in the scenery, taking photographs, and enjoying the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
   • Return to Shillong after the sunrise experience
   • Have breakfast at the hotel and complete check-out formalities
   • Begin your journey towards Laitlum Canyons, one of Meghalaya’s most picturesque viewpoints.
   • Enjoy wide views of the Khasi Hills, deep valleys, rugged cliffs, and open landscapes.
   • Later, continue the road journey towards Jowai, passing through the beautiful Jaintia Hills region.
   • Reach Jowai and check in to your stay.
   • Relax for the rest of the evening after a long and scenic day.
   • Overnight stay in Jowai.

3. Day 3

   Krem Chympe Cave Exploration | Transfer to Shnongpdeng

   • Begin the day early around 6:00 AM with breakfast.
   • Get ready for an adventurous cave exploration experience.
   • Visit Krem Chympe, one of Meghalaya’s lesser-explored cave systems.
   • Spend around 2–3 hours exploring the cave area, its hidden passages, turquoise water sections, and unique natural formations.
   • Enjoy the adventurous setting and water-based activities, depending on conditions.
   • After the exploration, board your vehicle for the drive to Shnongpdeng.
   • Travel for around 2 hours towards this scenic riverside village located by the clear waters of the Umngot River.
   • Check in to your riverside camp or homestay.
   • Spend the evening relaxing by the river, enjoying the peaceful setting, or bonding with your group.
   • In the evening, enjoy a BBQ dinner around a campfire, subject to weather conditions.
   • Overnight stay in Shnongpdeng.

4. Day 4

   Water Activities | Dawki Viewpoint | Mawlynnong | Drive to Cherrapunjee

   • Wake up to a peaceful morning beside the Umngot River.
   • Enjoy breakfast at your riverside stay.
   • Spend the morning trying optional water activities such as kayaking, cliff jumping, or snorkelling in the clear river waters.
   • After the activities, check out from your stay.
   • Drive towards Dawki Viewpoint for panoramic views of the India-Bangladesh border region.
   • Enjoy the scenic view of the plains of Bangladesh from above.
   • Continue the journey towards Mawlynnong, popularly known for its cleanliness and charming village life.
   • Walk through the village lanes, admire the bamboo pathways, and experience the calm local lifestyle.
   • Later, begin the long drive towards Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra.
   • Travel for around 4–5 hours through green valleys, winding roads, and misty hill landscapes.
   • Reach Cherrapunjee by evening and check in to your hotel.
   • Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

5. Day 5

   Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek | Nongriat Village

   • Have an early breakfast at the hotel.
   • Leave around 6:00 AM for Tyrna Village, the starting point of the famous
   • Nongriat trek.
   • Begin the trek towards the Double Decker Living Root Bridge
   • Descend through nearly 3,500 steps, passing through lush forest trails and village paths.
   • Cross narrow suspension bridges built over clear blue river pools.
   • Reach the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge after approximately 1.5–2 hours of trekking.
   • Spend time admiring this natural wonder created by the Khasi communities using living tree roots.
   • Walk across the bridge, relax by the stream, and dip your feet in the cold waters of the Umshiang River.
   • Depending on the group’s fitness and energy levels, continue further towards Rainbow Falls, located about an hour ahead.
   • Enjoy the waterfall views and the magical misty surroundings.
   • After spending enough time at the bridge and falls, start the uphill trek back to Tyrna Village.
   • Drive back to Cherrapunjee after completing the trek.
   • Return to the hotel and rest after an active and memorable day.
   • Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

6. Day 6

   Cherrapunjee Sightseeing | Waterfalls, Caves & Drive to Shillong

   • Wake up to a refreshing morning in Cherrapunjee.
   • Have breakfast at the hotel before starting the day’s sightseeing.
   • Visit Wei Sawdong Falls, a beautiful three-tiered waterfall surrounded by forested landscapes.
   • Enjoy the striking blue water, rocky terrain, and peaceful natural setting.
   • Continue to the viewpoint of Nohkalikai Falls, one of India’s tallest plunge waterfalls.
   • Take in the wide views of green valleys and the dramatic waterfall drop.
   • Later, visit Mawsmai Caves, known for limestone formations, narrow passages, and an exciting walk-through experience.
   • After completing the sightseeing, board your vehicle for the drive back to Shillong.
   • Reach Shillong and check in to your hotel.
   • Spend the evening at leisure.
   • You may explore Shillong’s cafés, visit Police Bazaar, shop for souvenirs, or try local food with your group.
   • Overnight stay in Shillong.

7. Day 7

   Shillong to Guwahati | Departure

   • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out.
   • Begin your return journey towards Guwahati Airport.
   • Before leaving Meghalaya, make a short stop at Umiam Lake.
   • Spend some time admiring the views and capturing your final pictures of the trip.
   • Continue the drive towards Guwahati.
   • Reach Guwahati Airport as per the scheduled departure timing.
